The rare collection of previously unpublished Elvis Presley pictures have just been released.
The images capture the King in his jumpsuited glory while rocking in Madison Square Garden, New York, in 1972.
They were recently found, almost by accident, by George Kalinsky, who took the photos.
Jumpsuited glory: Elvis spreads his famous cape at the Madison Square Garden concert Kalinsky came across the photos while doing research for a billboard company campaign called "Great Moments in New York."
Kalinsky has been the official Madison Square Garden photographer for more than 40 years and said he did not realise at the time that he had so many good shots.
"When I photographed the show, I thought I only had a few good ones," he said.
"I just never really looked at the files until recently.

Thirty years ago, 1977,
I remember you back in nineteen-fifty-six You had all the moves and you knew all the tricks: You left all the ladies in a hell of a fix, When your voice took wings Then you'd shake around and oh, how'd you sing: Just an old boy from Memphis with a big diamond ring: A country girl's prayer and a city girls dream;
Hail the king~Reflections by Charlie Daniels.
Do you remember where you were in 1977 on that day, the day a Legend Passed Away.
Elvis FOREVER~

Anonymous writes "BONDth he won The Cloney Award in Las Vegas for being the best impersonator of a legend. He also acted as host of the awards ceremony. It was Allen’s second year in a row for the honor for his uncanning impersonatation of Scottish actor Sean Connery, generally acknowledged as the definitive James Bond secret agent 007.
“I was a sculptor and artist for 20 years with a gallery on Federal Hwy. in Delray Beach. “ Allen revealed “This is my artistic expression now , and its all I do . I am booked through May of next year”.
Allen began his Sean Connery association as a stand-in for the actor. Eight years ago ,while having dinner at a restaurant in Mizner Park , he was approached by an agent who had a gig for him.
“He asked if I could rough up a guy and throw him in Donald Trumps pool as Agent 007.” Allen relates “I said “Yes I could do that” And I’ve been doing it ever since. It’s gotten bigger and bigger.
Allen has been flown all over the USA, Canada, the Caribbean,Europe, and even Auckland New Zealand, which was the only place an electronics giant could find a jumbo 747 for rent as a commercial prop.
“In America corporations make so much money they want to make their commercials and events the very best” he says “Celebrity impersonating has become a big business , and a lot of people are very good at it . The Neil Diamond guy Rob Garrett gets more work than Neil Diamond himself”.
Allen recently wrapped shooting on a film “Bamboo Shark” in Philadelphia.

The 2007 MTV Video Music Awards will be held in Las Vegas on September 9 at the Palms Hotel and Casino. MTV plans to turn the weekend into a MTV weekend in Vegas with multiple events leading up to the VMAs. A special note to those who bank on watching the re-runs compared to the live show, you will be out of luck this year as MTV will broadcast the live show once. After that they will run 'remixed versions' created by viewers. If you want to enjoy a fun weekend with the biggest celebs from the music and moive world, I suggest you get your room and flight ASAP. Starmaker2005 writes "Welcome.. Moms and Dads, I am writing a series of artciles so that you can get familiar with Agents, Managers, Photos, Resumes, and information that will help you to get your child started in modeling and/or acting. Listings of licensed Agents in Los Angeles area, and other large cities around the U.S., will be included in a later article. Don't get ripped off by companies that want you to invest large amounts of money for unnecessary photos, portfolios and classes that teach more etiquette than acting. Get a foot in the door, with proper information.
These articles do not promise any results, but will provide you general guidelines. Please read all the articles. Don't try to get your child started on looks alone. Agents prefer looks along with talent, good cold reading, projection, training and experience. It will be beneficial to have acting classes, voice coaching, dance, children's theater, commercials or print work on the resume. This will make finding an agent a little easier. Agents make money when their clients make money. For one to sign up your child, they must see potential and talent. Like any job or career, success can be proportionate to training, attitude, hard work and dedication. Your child must really WANT to do this, or it just won't work!
The material in my articles can be translated into the language of any state in the country (or world) where the entertainment industry is found. The movie industry in particular is growing rapidly in almost every state and in Canada and Mexico. But along with movies, modeling and commercials are also no longer just in the major markets. The guidelines I give concerning breaking into the industry will vary only as they pertain to the requirements under the law of each state in connection with work permits, regulation and licensing of agents and child labor laws.
The mechanics of breaking into the business and the names of the regulating government agencies will remain the same no matter where in the live in the United States. Part One - WHAT MAKES A CHILD AN ACTOR OR MODEL?
What makes a child "right" for show business? A child must be bright, talented, outgoing, well-behaved, and very importantly willing to take risks and live with lots of disappointments and do it all with a smile and a sparkle! I have seen children with a great look and very outgoing but they were not good at taking direction. They were not cut out for this business. Some children do not handle rejection (and neither do their parents) and these children can actually be damaged by putting them in this industry. Another important consideration (especially for infants and toddlers) is the child's ability to separate easily from mom and/or dad.
Casting directors do not have the time (or patience) to let your child warm up to the actor playing "mom" or "dad". For infants you will be in the room with your child, BUT you will not be in front of the camera with him/her. It is even more important as your child gets older and at two or three years, the casting directors will be interviewing the child WITHOUT the parent in the room.
More on "auditions" will come in a later article. Does your child mimic what he/she sees and hears on television? This is often a good sign that your child is ready to try to get into this business. Every child will have "on" days and "off" days but be honest with yourself about how many "off" days your child has. And do they sing, dance, perform WITHOUT your coaxing or do you have to beg or pressure your child to perform in front of family and friends? Be honest with your evaluation. Does your child have lots of after school or outside activities or responsibilities? Do they belong to sports team? Dance or cheer? Church or religious activities? There is no way to know when you will get an audition and if your child is busy 2-3 days a week and cannot audition - an agent will not be interested in even trying to work around YOUR schedule.
Now to the parents! Do you work full time or have other responsibilities that makes your schedule rigid and not flexible? If so, then you can stop here. Ninety percent of all auditions are Monday - Friday after school (between the hours of 3 PM - 7 PM) so if you work until 5 or 6 PM, it would almost be impossible to get your child to auditions. And remember that even in Los Angeles, during that time frame, the traffic is the worse and it can take you 60-90 minutes to get across town! Can you afford to have a child in the business - both time and financially? Do you have other children that will need your time after school? Do you have childcare for other children (only one child and one parent on auditions and on set - NO exceptions)? Do you need to be home to prepare dinner every evening? Your child will audition many times before getting a job (booking) and each audition will cost you (gas, parking, and perhaps a drive thru dinner) along with the staples of good headshots and resumes (photographer and printing costs). Then if you child is over the age of 6 (and sometimes younger) you will need to have your child in a class ($150-200 a session) and if you want your child to be competitive, one session will not be enough.
My daughter was in class from age 6 - 18 when she retired from the business to go to college! Your agent/manager will advise you on this area - but beware of any agent/manager who demands that you take a class from a particular coach or teacher or even worse, from them! Hope this information gets you started in the right direction!
Next week I will be talking about "The Look, What Agents and Casting Directors are Really Looking For".
